Anybody know the best are to live in El Paso, TX?
My husband just got an offer to work with CBP(customs and border Patrol) but we are going to have to move to El Paso. We currently live in florida and we have nobody in Texas or have a clue on where to look for to live. We have a 2 year old daughter that will most likely have to go to school over there. We are looking for a nice,safe are with good school. Anybody have any suggestions please help. Thank you in advance.

Try to live on the west side of town because it is less populated, people have a higher income, and tend to be well educated. One of the best schools in El Paso is St. Raphael they have very high standards, small classes, and great teachers. it is a small school with around 550 children; and it is kinder- 8th grade. It is also a catholic school but you don't have to be catholic to go there. I live on the west side and it was worth the commute to the east side for the education.

How is the home building and construction business in El Paso, Texas right now?
I am working in California currently and I am considering the move to El Paso, Texas to be closer to family. I am trying to get a feel to the construction industry in that area. I am looking to get info from anyone first hand who is involved. Thanks.

I personally visited El Paso. It is a growing city. Lot of hispanic people cross the bolder each day. Some people get like a week permit from Mexico to visit US. Houses out of state like EL PASO is really cheap. If you have about $100,000, you can get a nice 4 bedroom house. Lot of people are moving there to do business. they are opening up malls and restaurants. however it takes long time about year to get business set up, and open up your own business. Construction wise, they are building lot of buildings and houses. Maybe you can try to apply for good companies in California. vist El PASo several times. IF you like it, you can move on. But one thing, during the summer, it is really really really hot! if you open up frozen yogurt, boba, jamba juice, you might have chance to make lots of money.

I graduated in August and everywhere I apply I either get the interview and get rejected, or i dont hear anything from the employer. I'm qualified to work in the lab or clinic, and i am very good at what they taught me in class. whats the deal people? i need a job quick! my grace period is running out and i need to pay my student loans!

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Tuesday that agents working with ICE's Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations arrested 19 illegal immigrants during the four-day roundup that ended Saturday. Three other illegal immigrants also were arrested. ICE spokeswoman Leticia Zamarripa said ICE agents seized a .22-caliber rifle, high-capacity gun magazine pouches and such police equipment as expandable batons, ski masks, helmets and gun holsters. What I hope to happen there would be criminal prosecutions and deportation. Alas, the U.S.A. is fighting a losing battle with the illegal immigration dilemma. One way or another it cost tax payers' money to arrest, prosecute, jailing (housing/meals/medical care), and deportations.

What is the question? They broke our law. If I were to be caught driving drunk and my only intent was to just innocently get home , I should not be arrested? No I have broken the law I go to jail. They will be released and sent home. End of story . No question or conspiracy here. They broke the law and now they get sent home. The only thing going on here is the law actually being upheld. That's all folks.

1st, same as usual, they will be deported back to their countries to serve out their sentences. 2nd, also same as usual, if the sentence is in a different country (or the US), we will be in diplomatic wrangling with their country about exactly what to do. We would keep them in prison while that was going on, we would prohibit them from coming back, and we would work hard to assure they were punished as appropriate. 3rd, if appropriate, as it is when they had weapons, we would charge and punish them under U.S laws. 4th, Maybe you didn’t care to notice, but this is 1 of the different policies under the Obama administration. The other is punishing employers who hire illegal aliens.

22 got arrested, they gonna check them, if they did not commit any crime, they are just gonna be deported back to their counrty. If they commited crime, they are going to jail first before deportation.

What's good to visit in El Paso TX?
Cause of work I'll be in El Paso for some time, and my wife will be visiting me. I'd like to know of nice places to visit. We don't drink or go out dancing, I'd appreciatte info about theme parks, museums, places to visit outdoors, maybe woods, just safe woods not the kind of the blair witch, he, just kidding. Oh, and places not too expensive. Thanks!!! Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm from Mexico so ceramics and Juarez aren't really an attraction for my wife. Are there places to camp? IMPORTANT, IF THERE ARE PLACES NEARBY EL PASO THAT CAN BE VISITED PLEASE MENTION THEM TOO. (NOT IN MEXICO CAUSE I KNOW THERE)

You can buy cowboy boots and made in Mexico items (ceramics, blankets, etc.) in downtown El Paso. Contact their visitors bureau for museum info. El Paso never really struck me as a touristy city, but I am sure that you can find things to do. There is a national park just east of the city. You can also visit Juarez, but it is often recommended that you NOT drive there (you can drive to downtown El Paso, park and then walk across the border). Also try to visit Juarez early in the day so you can get back home before dark.

Theres Viva El Paso,Wyler aerial tramway, Museums downtown, Tom Lea Park for hiking, Western Playland amusement park and lots more. Pick up the el paso phonebook and there is a lot more.

Here are some of the top things to do in el paso in my opinion. 1. Music under the stars(free) Sundays at 7:30pm at chamizal National Park. 2. Wet n Wild(under $20) Water park in Anthony. nice for saturdays 3. Western Playland(under $20) Amusement Park at Sundland, Nice for mild excitment 4. The Tramway(under $10) Nice scenic view of the city. especially in the evening at Rangers Peak 5. The bodies exibit($?) Here for a limited time. neat. at convetion center 6. Alfresco Fridays/ screen in the green(free) similar to music under the stars @ 5:30 with a movie afterward. near convention center and musem 7. Scenic drive(free) Nice view of the city at night. on sim road as for camping goes, your best bet is Rudioso in New Mexico. three hours away so it close by. Leave on a saturday morning around 5:00am and you can have a whole day to enjoy horse riding, fishing,sight seeing,
