About what do i need to be a contractor in texas, like bonds and such

what do i need to be a contractor in texas, like bonds and such ?
I have registered my name in el paso county at the clerks office as required, so now i heard i need a bond, what kind of bond ? and where do i file it ? also to get a permit issued i understand i need GL insurance, how much coverage? Basically im a licensed contractor in New Mexico and will expand to el paso texas very soon, i am a commercial and residential contractor in NM a GB-98 and would like to do the same work in el paso texas, i hope you can help tell me what i need ! Thank you very much for your time, Jax I appreciate that answer will, but i believe i already covered that in my question ! I need amounts of gl, the bond i think is a surety, not sure.. mainly its little more complex than that.. Please if anyone knows where i go, which state or county office i mean, to get this done along with type and amounts... it would be deeply appreciated.. the reason im asking is i am having a hard time finding someone who knows exactly what to do, the trcc has been dissolved i found out thats who used to know the residential means anyway... think thiers some kind of texas construction regulation but only a few catagories... thanks please help

No where. If you cannot handle an interview how will you deal with customers, coworkers or bosses.
Answer 2 :
I totally understand. I used to just be super prepared for every possible interview question. I really studied hard and going through interviews always helped me prepare for the next one. Then I was fairly confident I would have an answer to give to any question, but the nerves were always a killer. But then I realised that interviews were nothing compared to what some people had to live through (just read the papers). Including terrible crimes that some children have survived with almost every day of their lives. In comparison to that an interview should be the easiest thing to summon strength for, because you are getting together with people who are interested in the same thing as you, which is you! and the job which has alot of good things about it. It should be a joyful experience, even with the self consciousness of being evaluated. You have lots of accomplishments and good things about yourself to offer, just get practice recalling them and expressing them. To avoid interviews you could start your own business from home. Or go for jobs that not everyone wants to do. that way the interview might be less of an interrogation because they'll need all the applicants they can get.

Do you not know where it is that he works? Im sure this is obviously one of the first options you would try, but if you can somehow contact his work, you can find out if he has been attending or not. Also, you could type his full name into a search engine on the internet, and if anything has happened to him it is public information and you should be able to find it. This is a difficult situation and I am trying to rack my brain to think of things to help you, but i am sure you have tried everything I have said. Good luck and I hope you find your brother soon.
Answer 2 :
Your first stop should be at the US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez. They are there to serve American citizens living in the area. Their website is: http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/service.html They are probably over-whelmed at the moment, but if you give them a call with your brother's address etc. they can, perhaps, help find him. Have you a phone number for him

Check out this blog post on El Paso I think it will help you out. http://www.city-data.com/forum/el-paso/230321-where-best-areas-el-paso.html
Answer 2 :
Try to live on the west side of town because it is less populated, people have a higher income, and tend to be well educated. One of the best schools in El Paso is St. Raphael they have very high standards, small classes, and great teachers. it is a small school with around 550 children; and it is kinder- 8th grade. It is also a catholic school but you don't have to be catholic to go there. I live on the west side and it was worth the commute to the east side for the education.

I am working in California currently and I am considering the move to El Paso, Texas to be closer to family. I am trying to get a feel to the construction industry in that area. I am looking to get info from anyone first hand who is involved. Thanks.

I personally visited El Paso. It is a growing city. Lot of hispanic people cross the bolder each day. Some people get like a week permit from Mexico to visit US. Houses out of state like EL PASO is really cheap. If you have about $100,000, you can get a nice 4 bedroom house. Lot of people are moving there to do business. they are opening up malls and restaurants. however it takes long time about year to get business set up, and open up your own business. Construction wise, they are building lot of buildings and houses. Maybe you can try to apply for good companies in California. vist El PASo several times. IF you like it, you can move on. But one thing, during the summer, it is really really really hot! if you open up frozen yogurt, boba, jamba juice, you might have chance to make lots of money.
